Donizetti – Picerno
The Donizetti project is a ground-mounted photovoltaic plant located in Picerno
The project involves the construction of a Photovoltaic Plant with a nominal capacity of 9,979.20 KWp to be installed on land located in the territory of the municipality of Picerno (PZ). The electricity produced will be fed into the national transmission grid RTN with a connection in Medium Voltage (MV) to the primary CP AT/MT substation owned by E-Distribuzione located in the industrial area of Tito (PZ). The total fenced area equals to ca. 20 ha characterized by the installation of photovoltaic modules with specific power equal to 450 Wp for a total of 22,176 units (tracker system). The electrical connection line from the distributor's delivery cabin to the primary cabin in Tito (PZ).
The Plant will rise in an Area sparsely populated, mainly characterized by land partly used for the cultivation of wheat and partly uncultivated, about 5.00 km away from the built-up area of Picerno (Pz).
The Donizetti PV plant will have a total capacity of approximately 10 MWp. The average energy produced by the plant, under average operating conditions, is estimated to be 16,266,250.73 kWh/year. Clean electricity production will reduce fossil fuel consumption by 3,176.39 TOE/year and cut CO2 emissions by 7,813.59 tons/year from traditional energy production.
The key points of the development process include
The connection for the PV plant to the “CP Tito” has been obtained and validated by the Distributor.
The PV plant has been exempted from the Environmental Impact Assessment (VIA) as the Region has confirmed through a preliminary screening process that there are no landscape and environmental interferences.
The project received the Building Permit (Autorizzazione Unica) on the 13th of May 2024 and should reach the Ready-to-Build status before the end of the year.
